Wall Tapestry
Description: Dominated by its classical Greek
Revival building, this tapestry captures a spring day at
Yale College 130 years after its establishment in 1701 as
the Collegiate School within His Majesties Colony of
Connecticut. Several early 1800s churches and faculty
buildings preside over a 16 acre green space. The ox carts
were a daily scene, bearing food and other supplies to the
hungry student body and faculty. An American Eagle from
the period oversees this picturesque early American scene.
