DESCRIPTION The RT Series are extremely versatile, low to high production roller cutting presses. These units are typically used to cut a wide range of materials such as: skin packaged products, vacuum formed plastics, blisters, coroplast, cork, rubber and all other steel ruler die cutting applications. OPERATION The operator places the steel rule die on the feed table with knife-edge up. The material to be die cut is positioned onto the die and covered with a polypropylene sheet. The "sandwich" so formed is then advanced to the main pressure rollers. Operator depresses the start button to initiate the automatic cutting cycle. When the sandwich has exited on opposite side of entry, operator depresses stop button, removes finished cut parts and repeats the process. [ View Models Specs ]

CUTTING PRESSURE RT Series can deliver the equivalent in cutting pressure of up to 150 Ton press or more. PRESSURE ROLLERS All RT Series (except RT22-1) are equipped with heavy duty 7 1/2" diameter steel rollers and bearings. Also available are extra heavy duty 10 1/2" diameter steel rollers and bearings. DRIVE The steel rollers are driven by a double roll steel chain, powerful motor and transmission. All RT Series (except RT22-1) can be ordered either as single or double driven pressure rollers. WORK STATION Conveyors with "free-running" feed rollers on either side of cutting rollers provide easy handling of even the heaviest cutting tool. PRESSURE ADJUSTMENT Rapid, simple and accurate single point adjustment.

TOOLING Inexpensive steel rule cutting die cutting against a polypropylene or polyethylene 1/4" thick sheet, avoids any make ready whatsoever. SIMPLE CONTROLS Power on, cycle start and emergency stop buttons located on center column of machine, easily accessible to the operator from either side of working station. DURABLE The main frame is a welded steel sturdy construction, with removable sections to allow servicing of the motor and gear drive assembly. All parts are covered by a 1-year warranty. DESCRIPTION
 

The Models VT 2400, VT 3000 and VT 3600 are a cost effective alternative for automatic cutting of skin packaging products. These machines feature an intermittent motion in-feed conveyor belt to transfer skin packaged cards to the slitting and die cutting area. Circular cutters are used for longitudinal slitting and a hydraulic cross cutting system also rounds the comers and cuts hanger holes. An out-feed conveyor belt discharges the cut packages from the machine.

The VT Series machines have adjustable slitter heads to cut different sized packages. Single and double cutter heads are available for common and gutter ruled layouts. Die cutting is with a narrow steel rule die. These dies are lightweight, low cost and are easily changed. Card length is determined by the in-feed conveyor program. Multiple programs may be stored in the in-feed conveyor controller.

OPERATION
The operator places the finished skin card on the in-feed conveyor. The card is lined up with the left and rear alignment guides. The START button is pressed and the card automatically advances to the hydraulic trim press and the slitter heads where the card is cut into individual packages. Finished packages are conveyed from the machine out-feed. The process is repeated after each cycle is completed.
